            Many still do not realize the type of humor cartoons these days bring. In many Looney Tunes premieres there are many jokes degrading many races out there. The biggest target is probably towards African Americans and even toward Arabs and Middle Easterners, especially after the September 11 attack. These cartons degrade so many races but people still take it as jokes and entertainment for them and do not realize the racism going on. In a Looney tune Cartoon with Bugs Bunny, Bugs is being chased  by a huge fat blonde German man and later Bugs dresses up as a Nazi general to fool the German man, the German man then dresses up in a military suit with the swastika on his sleeve. Not many realize it but this degrades all Germans into being Nazi’s and true followers of Adolf Hitler.  In a Disney cartoon featuring Donald Duck he is shown to be involved in World War II with being a huge sarcastic Adolf Hitler Follower and with Germans playing music with all swastika signs.

            Not only do many Germans get degraded as Nazi’s and followers of Adolf Hitler, but after the September 11 attack on America many Arabs and Middle Easterners began to be degraded hugely. In an animation premiere of South Park there was a character of Saddam Hussein who was ridiculed into being a homosexual in hell who could not control himself. Many ridiculed all Middle Easterners to be bombers and terrorist and to be Anti-American.

            Another race which is continuously ridiculed are Japanese. They are ridiculed because of the way they look.  In a cartoon with Bugs Bunny he refers to them as “Japs” which was hugely degrading to them and is what they were called by American soldiers during World War II. In that same cartoon Bugs Bunny begins to ridicule the Japanese faces while giving out grenades to them as an ice cream vendor. He states, “Here ya go, bowl-legs. Here's one for you, monkeyface. Here y'are, slanty-eyes. Everybody gets one.”

            Not many may realize it, but there are many other races out there that are being ridiculed in these types of cartoons, such as the famous character known as “Speedy Gonzales”, a fast running, Mexican, Spanish speaking mouse. Also there continuous ridicule of African Americans; there is not a famous, lovable, African American character in any of these cartons. A small portion of the Australian country is being degraded as a place full of desert with hopping kangaroos everywhere. The list is endless to the many racist cartons out there and yet not many people realize it but just see it as humorous entertainment.
