Our Blessing of Weird and Wonderful Family

Jon catches a bird in the house!
Precious Jon Hogan,  surfer extraordinaire,  is attending Palomar and will transfer to Santa Monica College in February.  He may study film editing or bird catching, as pictured above.

Heddy & Justin

Heather and her boyfriend Justin have graduated from Chico State.  Heather is a graphic artist for a software company in La Jolla, and a bright spirit. They live in North Park.

The "old" folks, as THEY say!

Grandma and Grandpa took some time off from dancing around the globe this year to have a dance at our house.  It is a blessing to have these strange folks close by.

Jantip and Charles Daniels

Uncle Charlie and wife, lovely Nam, will spend Christmas in Thailand this year, but will be back home after the new year.  Charlie is an artist and successful businessman.  Nam is studying English and chemistry in her new home country.

In addition to circle of our family, we are thankful for our  fun-loving, dear friends and co-workers.  Denise is having the time of her life in her new position as an educational technology specialist.  It has been such rewarding experience, working with these talented and committed people at the district office.  Yet, she also misses her soul mates at Mesa Verde.   Teaching a graduate class in educational technology at Cal State San Marcos has also been a rewarding experience - the realization of a dream from her time at UCI.

Barry continues with the City of Malibu, and lives with that ocean view which makes being "trailer trash" laughable.  When not immersed in the controversy on the height of Cher's wall on PCH, he enjoys kayaking, cooking and traveling.  Jon will soon move up to live in Malibu with Barry to surf Zuma and go to Santa Monica College.  We recently spent some time in Atlanta, Savannah and New Orleans.  Previous to that we had a wonderful week-end wine tasting with longtime friends (the Phelmings)  in Santa Barbara.

Wishing you fulfillment, joy and love -

Purpose of this card?  The first purpose is to warmly wish you a happy holiday season.

Secondly, this card is the result of a tradition that my amazing EdTech Specialist co-workers started a few years ago to highlight the technology that is available to teachers in our district.  We each work after hours at home to do these, and learn a great deal from doing them.  I am the "new kid" and encourage you to see the experienced folks display their talents: Stacey Campo and Linda Foote.

Here is a list of the technology that I used to create this card, and am anxious to share with other PUSD or ILAST folks:  FrontPage, Xara, and VR Worx  software, Microsoft Clip Art Gallery, Java Script from DynamicDrive,  and music from The Classical Midi Collection .
