| GRADE SIX | This mentor
project is designed to make it easier for students and teachers to utilize the vast
resources of the Internet to address Poway Unified School District and
California State Standards and our current curriculum.
It is my goal for students and teachers to feast on the bounty available online.
The student activities are online assignments that align with the curriculum and/or standards for that grade level. They are written for students, and often correlate with certain pages in our district adopted text books. I have found them to be very useful to differentiate curriculum, enrich curriculum with technology, or to use for extra credit or OCIS contracts. They can be used as a whole class, in small groups, or by individual students. Teacher resources are designed to give teachers a site to use as a teaching tool for direct instruction, a place to find more information, or a resource for longer term projects for students to do. I have designed this to be a hot list OOMPH! Where possible correlation with district adopted text books are given. California State Standards are listed as introductions. Please email me with comments or questions. I am also anxious to give inservicing as part of this project. Thanks for visiting; dig in and enjoy. This site is continually being revised and enlarged. If you don't find what you need, try back later or email me. August 1999 List of current activities
