Write a title – A World of Fun, 6th Grade Social Studies
Search for a graphic (google.com> images for a copyright free image) or the clipart gallery.
Copy and paste graphic
Write headings below the graphic: Mesopotamia and Egypt, India, China, Greece, Rome
Highlight the first heading and go to insert>bookmark>OK
Continue with other headings.
Click on the image, and the picture toolbar will appear. (The default is for it to show on the bottom of your screen.)
Use any of the drawing tools, to outline the region that you want to connect to your first heading.
A link menu will appear, to link to a bookmark, pull it down (in FrontPage 2000), and chose the name of the appropriate heading.
The lines for each region will show when you are working with the drawing tool on, but will not show in the browser.
FrontPage comes with a counter. Go to insert>component>hit counter. You can chose the style that you would like, and can even set it for a higher number. I have seen these die after a while, but they are easy and fun to insert.
