Leonardo da Vinci liked to record his thoughts, and wrote of nature, art and the cosmos.  Click here to see a page from the Codex of Leicester, one of his most famous works, that is now owned by Bill Gates.

Then, link to Leonardo Right to Left.  Be sure to do the "Try it" activity.  If you can, copy and paste your da Vinci name on your answer sheet.

 

Leonardo and his Art

In addition to being an inventor, Leonardo da Vinci studies anatomy, engineering, math, biology, astronomy and philosopher.  He was also an amazing artist.

Look at One of Leonardo's sketches.  See how beautifully he was able to draw these hands? 

Some people believe that his famous painting, Mona Lisa was really a version of a self portrait.
